Everyone,

As of February 1, 2010 we will no longer have this website.  In hopes of making my life a little easier I have decided to just use meet up.com and Facebook for updates and comments.

I do have all of your contact info so don't worry you will not be lost, however you will need to join one or both of the new places.  On meetup.com we are listed as lkn greendrinks.  On Facebook we are Lake Norman Green Drinks or you can send a request to me if that is easier for you.  I will keep everything up to date on this site until February.

Can you believe it is 2010!!!!!

Please join us for our first meeting of the year.  Our new location is Sabi Asian Bistro in Davidson at exit 30.  We are going to try it out and see how everyone likes it.  With the meeting starting at 6 many people get hungry so now we can eat and drink while we network.

We are having a short presentation from Habitat for Humanity- please be thinking of events or community projects that our group can help.  Also if anyone want to speak about thier green passion in Feb. let me know.

I look forward to seeing you all again and meeting the many new faces I'm sure we will have.

I can't believe it is December, where did the year go?  I want to thank everyone who has made Green Drinks a success.  I am looking forward to 2010, and the change I know each of us can make not only for ourselves but others.  Many of you have expressed interest in getting involved in the community and we have some exciting things happening throughout next year. 

Our location is changing, and I will be announcing that shortly.  My beautiful friend Marie is moving to Canada so we will miss her greatly, good luck in the snow SUNSHINE!  My focus is to get this group up and going so please continue to provide feedback, I really do listen.

Thanks again and please make plans to come out to the January meeting and bring lots of friends.

Again, a special thanks goes out to all of you who attended the August Green Drinks.  I know kids of all ages are going back to school and things are at a fast pace.

Our group is forming nicely and I am so excited about all the connections that are being made.

Starting the first of the year, we are going to change things a little.  I have had many request for some time alloted to indiviuals who wish to give a short (5min) explaination about what they do, or innovative idea they are hatching etc.  I thinks this is something that would benifit the group as a whole.

I will also be gone for the next 2 months traveling.  I know its a hard life but someone has to do it, and I volunteered a long time ago  Marie will be hosting the next 2 months meetings

Sept's meeting should be packed considering everyone will be settled in to the new school year.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to all who came out for the last Green Drinks.  We had a smaller group this time so lets make sure everyone gets out to the August event.  The weather has been great and the Lake is perfect to enjoy over a cocktail.  We had an educational discussion on Green Mortgages. 

North Harbor had 2 drink specials for us again that were fantastic.  Please feel free to send me any ideas or suggestions you may have.

Hello Everyone,

I want to to send a huge Thank You to all who joined us for the 1st Lake Norman Green Drinks.  We had a wonderful time with a great turn out.  25 "greenies"  Including our local area we had guests from Winston-Salem to Waxhaw. 

I feel extremely privileged to have met all of you (you know who you are) and I am looking forward to the momentum that we will create as a group.  Please feel free to comment on the community projects that you would be interested in working as a group on. 

Some ideas so far are a denim drive (Jenny Pippin's idea), canned food for a favorite charity, trash pick-up around the Lake or my favorite picketing Duke Power.  Just Kidding!
